Process facilitation for complex organizational issues

“Collaboration with those other organizations is completely out of whack. We want to move forward, but it’s not working. How do we get out of this?”

“For our merger, we are looking for an external facilitator who can take charge of the process, bring in experience and lead the conversations.”

“We need an explorer and guide who can prepare the playing field for cross-organizational collaboration.”

“The way we work (together) is changing dramatically. We are too close to it ourselves and are mainly concerned with operational issues. Knowing that someone is keeping an eye on 'the bigger picture' and offering us a horizon would give us a lot of peace of mind.”

Sometimes, as an organization, you face major changes, or go through a challenging period : a merger, a that feels like navigating a minefield or the start-up of a new cooperative.

In such a situation, it is nice to have an experienced guide, someone who's 'grounding presence' helps navigate uncertainty.

During process facilitation we transcend the purely operational level. We get into the helicopter, zoom out and look at the bigger picture. As a first step, I help you bring to light everything that’s at play.

Next, we ensure that the shared goal is clear again; before setting off together. I provide you with a plan, keep an eye on the horizon, and guide you along the most manageable paths.

Koen, your steady guidance has led to this brilliant result. With neutral empathy and strategic insight, you patiently blend two colors of paint until the right shade emerges.

Merger process at Musea Turnhout: from 3 separate islands to a fully-fledged museum collective

The city of Turnhout manages three museums – Speelkaarten, Taxandria, Begijnhof – which started (or rather: were required to start) to cooperate structurally ten years ago. The underlying reasoning was efficiency gains, but in practice it became a laborious story in which a lot of energy was lost. Together with the city and management, we returned to the essence, honestly examining all possible future . From this, one model emerged as the most desirable and most feasible, for which we designed an appropriate structure. Result: a renewed, strong collective with a clear profile.
